What is this signature worth?

It is an electronic signature of citizen support (Colombian Law 527 of 1999 and Decree 2364 of 2012). It will be attached to a formal petition from the movement to the Fifth Committee and the full House of Representatives, under the right of petition (article 23 of the Constitution and Law 1755 of 2015) and citizen participation in the legislative process (article 230 of Law 5 of 1992).

It is not one of the citizen participation mechanisms verified by the National Civil Registry (Registraduría), such as a popular legislative initiative, a referendum or a recall, and it does not replace the official forms for those processes.
